Canada Geese are primarily herbivores who prefer grasses and hedges in the summer and berries and seeds including agriculture grains in the fall/winter.

So why doesn’t Plantskydd repel them? Well, Canada Geese along with other birds have a different sense of smell compared to mammals; therefore, they do not have the same reaction to Plantskydd.

Recognize Canada Geese Damage

Geese are easy to identify as they linger in yards and fields for hours grazing on grasses, grains, etc.

Lawn Damage – Geese prefer lawns and open spaces as it allows them a view of any predators. Lawn damage can include bare spots, grass clipping, and goose-dropping.

Lawn damage – Plant tall plants and grasses around your lawn to reduce visibility, try adding visual aids like 3D models of coyotes or wolves and flashing rotators and strobe lights to invoke a fear response in geese. It’s best to move these visual aids often.
